Poultry
Poultry refers to domesticated birds that are kept by humans for their eggs, meat and feathers, and it includes turkeys, chickens, ducks, quail, geese and guinea fowl.
With the correct diet, and when kept safe from foxes and other predators, domestic chickens can live happily for 10 to 12 years, while guinea fowl can live up to 15 years.
Most domestic birds need a healthy, balanced diet that includes cereals, proteins, fat, and vitamins and minerals. Poultry feed is designed to meet all your birds’ needs, usually combining plant-based proteins with corn, wheat and other common cereals.
As well as feeding your birds a healthy diet every day, it’s important to keep them warm, safe and protected. All poultry needs plenty of space to roam both indoors and outdoors, as well as somewhere warm to roost overnight.
A coop or hutch, paired with an outdoor run, is ideal for chickens, ducks, etc.
